Holy Trinity Student Council is a group of 4th – 8th
grade students who have been designated by their peers and
their teachers as leaders in the school. Student Council’s
main mission is to serve the student body and facilitate programs
and projects that promote service. Student Council is dedicated
to providing opportunities for Holy Trinity students to serve
the school community, the neighborhood community and our global
community.
We are proud of our community building activities and service
projects. Some of our activies and service projects have included
incude: Mission Possible, Middle School Dances, Middle School
activity night, Trinity Mission food drives, Adopt a family
during Christmas, Cheerful givers birthday bags, clothing
drive, JDRF walk, Hurricane and Tsunami Relief drives and
much more.

Positions Available:
President
The President will be responsible for organizing, planning,
and leading all student council meetings. He/She will manage
and coach the student council members in carrying out their
duties. He/She will oversee and supervise all student council
and student council sponsored activities and events. This
person will attend, lead, and participate in all student council
activities. He/She will interface closely and often with the
student council staff advisor(s).
Vice-President
The Vice-President will work closely with the President in
carrying out the mission and activities of the student council.
This person will assist the President in organizing, planning
and leading the student council members. He/She will attend
and participate in all student council meetings and student
council sponsored events and activities. In addition to these
leadership assignments, the Vice-President along with the
Public Relations Executive will assume responsibility for
developing and carrying out a highly visible and active school
spirit campaign. This should include not only student council
events and activities, but school sponsored sports, etc.
The Vice-President will work closely with the public relations
officers in acquiring pictures and sending pictures to local
publications (Southeast Review, Catholic Spirit, etc.) and
for our school website.
Treasurer
The Treasurer will be responsible for all inventory, resource
acquisition (such as supplies), and counting activities of
the student council. This will include acquiring bags for
food drives, supplies for dances and other activities, and
setting up work schedules, among other duties. As an executive,
the Treasurer will attend and participate in all student council
meetings and student council sponsored activities and events.
Secretary
The Secretary will be responsible for taking notes at each
student council meeting, and submitting written minutes to
the staff advisor(s) within 48 hours of the meeting. This
person will be responsible for writing all thank you notes,
and other correspondence as directed by the council, as well
as having copies made of fliers and publicity materials as
requested by the council. As an officer, the Secretary will
attend and participate in all student council meetings and
student council sponsored events and activities.
The Secretary will also be responsible for composing a monthly
newsletter to inform the student body and their families of
student council events and activities. The secretary
will also be responsible for getting information about student
council events and meeting minutes to the homeroom teachers
in a timely fashion.
Public Relations Officers
The Public Relations Officers will work closely with and under
the supervision of the Public Relations Executive and as directed
by the student council to publicize and generate both awareness
and interest in all student council activities and events.
The Public Relations Officers will also be responsible for
recognizing student birthdays both on the Student Council
Bulletin Board and by sending birthday greetings. They will
assist in acquiring pictures with the Vice-President for the
school website and local publications.
Homeroom Representatives
Each Homeroom Representative will actively seek out the wishes
of his/her homeroom classmates and voice them to the student
council. This person is responsible for communicating in a
timely manner to their classmates, the decisions of the student
council, enlisting their support and participation, and performing
the duties assigned to him/her. Homeroom Representatives will
be asked to serve on at least three event committees during
the school year. Representatives will be expected to
attend in participate in all student council meetings and
student council sponsored events.
