Quiz Bowl
The Grade School Quiz Bowl — which brings
48 Catholic schools together at the University of St. Thomas
— is sponsored by the admissions directors of the 12
Catholic high schools in the archdiocese. Each year Holy Trinity
sends a team of 8th graders to test their knowledge ranging
from academic questions in math or science to current events
and popular television shows. It is wonderful opportunity
for students to display their expertise in various areas as
well as learning the importance of each member in a team.
Destination ImagiNation
Destination ImagiNation is an activity where kids take what
they know and what they are good at and learn to apply it
to solve challenges. This is done by working together and
cooperatively with a team and pushing the limits of imagination
to best out their competition, but themselves.
Destination ImagiNation is a community-based,
school-friendly program that builds participants' creativity,
problem solving, and teamwork in enjoyable and meaningful
ways. Teams of five to seven members work together to apply
creativity, critical thinking and their particular talents
to solve a Team Challenge.
