Theology
God is at the heart of Holy Trinity School and the reason for the school's existence. The curriculum strives to help students gain knowledge of Catholic doctrine, develop character to live as an Image of God, and create a caring Christian environment. The students will participate in classroom activities, daily prayer, weekly Mass, social justice activities, and paraliturgies.

Through the teaching of Christian values, the students will grow spiritually and become responsible citizens. An important aspect of the religion curriculum is participation in liturgy. Students will have the opportunity to plan and participate in Wednesday Mass, for grades K-8, at 8:15 a.m.. Parents/guardians and parishioners are invited to attend.

The Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are received in the second grade by students who are deemed properly prepared by our Sacramental program at Holy Trinity. Middle School students will be able to participate in at least one retreat.

Language Arts (Literature-Reading, English, Spelling)
We provide a language rich environment where students are given many opportunities to develop their listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. We immerse students in Language Arts and develop higher level thinking skills. We believe students need to be fluent readers and develop a capability to understand, analyze and communicate a variety of written materials.

Beginning in kindergarten, daily instruction builds phonics skills, vocabulary, comprehension, oral language, and writing skills. In first grade we begin spelling instruction. All grades will enrich the curriculum with novels and other appropriate enrichment material.

Mathematics
In math we emphasize basic skills and facts, building real life connections, problem solving, and creative thinking. We believe that it is necessary to implement kinesthetic, visual, and auditory teaching methods to address the needs of each student. We strive to help children develop positive attitudes in order for them to demonstrate confidence, persistence, and enthusiasm toward mathematics. We encourage an active home-school partnership. Our math curriculum is based on the national standards. Some of our eighth graders are able to complete the first course of algebra.

Science
Our science curriculum provides students with the opportunity to discover principles and concepts using a hands-on approach. By creating a positive, hands-on, interactive environment at Holy Trinity, we expect the students to have improved scientific process skills and problem solving ability, show more enthusiasm and enjoyment of science, and have a solid base of scientific knowledge.

Social Studies
Our social studies program strives to help students gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to understand, respect, and practice the responsibilities of being a positive contributing member of society. Students will apply the skills they have learned to appreciate and respect diversity, and improve the world around them. Christian values form the basis of our Social Studies program. These values guide our students toward lives of social justice and stewardship.

Technology
At Holy Trinity, the students will use technology to expand their knowledge base. The technology program allows students a hands-on experience in technology through instruction and discovery. Technology is integrated with many areas of the curriculum. Holy Trinity students will continue to grow in their skills and knowledge of technology and develop respect and character while working in small groups. Computer time is scheduled for each grade level. Emphasis is placed on using technology as a tool for learning. Holy Trinity is connected to the Internet. Before a student is able to use Internet, there is an Internet Use Policy that the student and his/her parent/guardian must sign. Learn more.

Physical Education
In physical education, we promote health and fitness, cooperative ventures and an appreciation for lifetime activities. The students will develop both gross and fine motor skills, enhance their social skills, gain knowledge and become physically fit through our physical education program. This will take place through the utilization of large and small groups, partner activities, and individual activities. The emphasis is that everyone is a winner as long as you do your best, learn, improve, and have fun! Students in grades K - 8 have physical education twice a week. Learn more.

Spanish
We believe that through the study of another language and culture students will gain a broader understanding of the world and their relationship to a larger community. At Holy Trinity we teach Spanish to the students for our increasingly multi-lingual and multi-culture society with an appreciation for diversity. Spanish will also help them better understand their own language and culture. Spanish is offered two times per week to students in grades K - 8. Basic skills are taught through songs, games, worksheets, dialogue and other means. Students in grades K - 8 have Spanish twice a week. Learn more.

Art
Our art aurriculum provides the opportunity for all students to discover their creative potential through the manipulation of various mediums, appreciation of the unique differences in each other (shown through their art work), and by learning critical thinking skills in evaluating their own and other's art work. Students in grades K - 8 have art once a week.

Music
Our music program provides students with the opportunity to understand basic components of music such as rhythm, pitch, harmony, terms, structures, and styles. The students will strive to develop awareness, examine attitudes, experience emotions, and express themselves creatively in their immediate and expanded society through music. They will strive to develop an ability to solve musical challenges, improvise personal responses, and make choices and decisions based on learned musical understandings. Students in grades K - 8 have music twice a week.

Band
Band is offered to students in grades 4 - 8. Lessons are paid for by the parents/guardians. At the beginning of the school year the instrumental music teacher will meet with prospective students and their parents/guardians to discuss the band program, cost or rental of instruments, etc.

Library
In the library every student has the opportunity to further their interest in books. We hope to cultivate a love of reading. Students will learn how to use the library for reports, research, or leisure reading. In addition, students will have a clear understanding of basic terminology including the terms fiction, nonfiction, subject, title, author, illustrator, and spin label, to name a few.

Our goal is that every student leaving Holy Trinity will be able to walk into a library knowing, not only the basic location of a book, but also how to use the computerized catalog system to look it up.

Extracurricular Activites
Quiz Bowl, Destination ImagiNation, Math Masters and the annual Spelling Bee. Learn more.
