Holy Trinity Physical Education


Philosophy
Holy Trinity Physical Education promotes lifelong health and fitness through an appreciation for lifetime activity. The students will develop fine and gross motor skills, enhance social skills and gain knowledge of and practice being physically fit. These skills will be attained through large and small group activities, individual and team sports, rhythms and dance.

Program Objectives

1. Develop a basic understanding of skills and techniques through physical activities.
2. Develop self confidence and self esteem through individual and group activities.
3. Develop a sense that every student has their own unique strengths.
4. Develop sportsmanship and teamwork through the use of group activities.
5. Develop an awareness and respect of individual differences.
6. Develop skills and knowledge for lifelong fitness through games and activities.
7. Develop and apply an atmosphere of safety awareness while participating in Physical Education.
8. Develop respect for the use of the gym space and equipment.
